Clémence Gbonon (born in 1994, in France) studied international public law up to Master 1 before turning to art studies. art studies. She studied at the Beaux- arts de Paris in the studio of Djamel Tatah and Bruno Perramant.
As part of her studies at Beaux-arts, she spent a semester at the Cooper Union in New York, where she studied with Firelei Baez and Yto Barrada. She graduated from the Beaux-arts de Paris in 2024. She lives and works in Paris.
In 2022, she was studio assistant to the artist Kapwani Kiwanga. Her work has been shown in group exhibitions exhibitions in Paris, at the Parfümerie in Frankfurt (Germany), at FF Projects in Lagos (Nigeria), at Canada Gallery in New York (USA) as part of Connection, a performance by artist PeterBD, and at the Cooper Union.
